Sævar Helgi Bragason

Sævar Helgi Bragason is an award winning astronomy educator and science communicator. During the day, he is a science educator at the Natural Science Museum of Kópavogur. At night, he shows people stars and the Northern Lights. He also does part time work for the University of Iceland and Leirvogur Magnetic Observatory.

Bragason is a board member of the Icelandic Astronomical Society and member of the European Astronomical Society.

Bragason is an author of best selling books about science for kids and the general public, including Iceland at Night: Your Guide to Northern Lights and Stargazing in Iceland along with Babak Tafreshi. He has hosted numerous TV and radio programs on science for the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RÚV).

Gísli Már Árnason

Gísli Már Árnason is an experienced stargazer and astrophotographer.

Along with Babak Tafreshi and Sævar, he organises and leads a biannual northern lights photography tour and workshop around Iceland. More info here.

At Hótel Rangá, Gísli shows people the wonders of the night sky when weather permits.
